Renae Haddadin

Renae loves to quilt!

...and she really loves to share that passion with others.

She has developed tools and techniques for piecing and quilting that have been used by many to create beautiful quilts. It thrills her to see students succeed and grow in their own quilting and piecing.

Renae is always looking for new ways to challenge herself personally and professionally and believes that her physical, emotional and spiritual condition have a great impact on her quilting. Many of her quilts are entered in competitions and she has won top national awards...but her biggest thrill isn't winning. She considers the best part of quilting exploring the unlimited possibilities that the art affords and the friends that she has made along the way.

Renae's Quilting Journey that led me to my INNOVA longarm

I purchased my first longarm sight unseen in November of 2002 to begin my home based business of Renae Quilts. I hadn't ever used a longarm, but I LOVED piecing so I thought that I would love longarming too. I was right....I loved it! Unfortunately, this machine was not an INNOVA.

After practicing a bit, I started quilting for customers and my business began to grow.  I decided that if I made a quilt to hang in the local quilt show, I would gain more exposure so I made "Sew Many Swirls". It worked! My business really took off!  My quilt won additional awards in national quilt shows and I began receiving invitations to teach longarm quilting.

Over time I shifted from quilting for customers to teaching quilting to students around the world. I wrote books, produced videos and invented tools that helped make quilting easier.

As I attended shows and taught on many brands of longarm machines, I became very familiar with the challenges of longarming and the intricacies of the different brands of machines. I owned two different brands over my first seven years of quilting.....But in 2009 I test drove the INNOVA longarm.

I instantly recognized the excellent quality of the INNOVA's stitch. Each stitch was an equal length regardless of how fast or slow I stitched. I was amazed! The machine glides smoothly and evenly with the lightest touch. I ordered my new INNOVA in June of 2009 and have never looked back. Since switching to the INNOVA longarm I have won the top awards in the country with two Best of Show awards at the AQS Paducah show with Fiesta Mexico and Majestic Mosiac (both collaborations with Karen Kay Buckley). Judges have noted the excellence of the stitch quality and both of these quilts reside in the National Quilt Museum in Paducah. See video here.

In 2013 my husband joined my business and we became INNOVA dealers in our shop Quilts on the Corner in Sandy, UT.

I have stopped teaching internationally but my love of teaching and quilting hasn't changed!
Quilting with my INNOVA longarm is a joy! I don't have to fuss with maintenance and tension problems. I just quilt.
