Quilting Preparation

To help us provide the best longarm quilting possible there are a few preparation steps that you can do. customer-quilts.jpg

    • make sure your backing fabric is 3" - 4" larger than the quilt top on each side
    • make sure there are no loose threads or open seams
    • do not add any embellishments to the quilt until after it is quilted
    • if your quilt back is directional make sure you indicate that
    • square your backing

If you want us to bind your quilt, please do NOT cut it before you bring it in. The tool we use requires us to cut the fabric on the bias and it is quite time intensive for us if it is already cut. We will need 3/4 to 1 yard of fabric for binding.
